Organizational History:
Founded in 2018 under Governor Matt Mead’s ENDOW initiative, ENGAGE was created to elevate the voices of younger Wyomingites in building a more diversified and resilient state economy. What began as a state-supported Summit grew into a community-driven movement, ultimately transitioning into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to ensure long-term impact and independence.
Like many organizations, ENGAGE faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic and periods of leadership transition, prompting a necessary pause and reimagining of its work. Today, ENGAGE is back on track: renewed, focused, and recommitted to its mission of gathering young voices and qualitative insights to inform policy, strengthen communities, and shape Wyoming’s future. ENGAGE continues to empower the next generation of leaders across the state.
